Favorite Children’s Book: Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You

I love this book because it has alliteration, rhyming, and a wonderful assortment of animals      and sounds. The pictures are vibrant and young children want to listen to it again and again.

  1. Mr. Brown can Moo! Can You? Is a favorite in my classroom. The children love the repetition and the rhyming words. I enjoy listening to them repeat all of the sounds from the book. This was an excellent choice! I always celebrate DrSeuss birthday in March and the children pick characters from his books to dress up as. Mr. Brown appears every year.

  2. Teaching children alliteration and rhyming words at a young age is great. Introducing them to this in their preschool years makes it much easier for them to pick up on when they reach Kindergarten. You can never go wrong with a Dr. Seuss book because all the kids love him. All of his books has great rhyming and alliteration for the children to hear. I don’t think that I have read this book, but I know that it is a joy to read, because Dr. Seuss never ceased to amaze us.

    1. Hello.
I appreciate you replying to my blog. Reading is so important in a child’s early years. As a head start teacher I emphasize to my families how spending time reading to their child will help them throughout their school experience. Have a marvelous week!
