Favorite Quote About Young Children

“You see a child play, and it is so close to seeing an artist paint, for in play a child says things without uttering a word. You can see how he solves his problems. you can also see what’s wrong. Young children, especially, have enormous creativity, and whatever’s in them rises to the surface in free play.”

  1. When I read this quote one child in my class automatically comes to mind. This little girl is quite the actress and her love for drama is contagious. She loves being the princess, she loves to draw and paint in princes’ colors, and she expresses her feelings and emotions in the tone of a princess. What I see is a little girl who now has to share her mom and the spotlight with a brand new baby sister. It’s been tough for “C” to deal with the transition. So I allow her to express herself this way and when she needs those extra hugs I give her that extra attention.
